Welcome to Broken Arrow!

It is my pleasure and honor as Mayor to welcome you Broken Arrow. Broken Arrow has a rich history dating back to before Oklahoma statehood. Today, Broken Arrow enjoys all the modern conveniences within a safe and enjoyable city. I’m proud to say that we are frequently rated among the safest places to live in the U.S. and the best communities to buy a home.

Broken Arrow may be Oklahoma’s 4th largest city, but it still carries a small-town charm. Take a stroll through the Rose District downtown or in one of our beautiful parks and enjoy the friendly nature of our residents.

A safe city would not do much without a great local economy and great education system supporting it. Broken Arrow boasts the 3rd largest manufacturing sector in the state. These companies and the many others that have set up in town depend on a well-educated local population.

The City is home to Broken Arrow High School, the largest high school in the state that offers a wide range of opportunities for local students. Three public school districts actually have boundaries within the City Limits – Broken Arrow, Union and Bixby Public Schools. Many private schools have also been established within the City. Broken Arrow is home to campuses of both Tulsa Technology Center, a regional technical institution, and Northeastern State University, a four-year public college based out of Tahlequah. Tulsa Community College’s Southeast campus is also only minutes away.

Whether you’re here for business, pleasure, a child’s sports tournament, an industry conference at Stoney Creek, or looking to make a home here, I want to welcome you to Broken Arrow. I hope you have a wonderful time!

Regards,

Craig Thurmond
Mayor
