The Ecology Park in what's known as the Adams Creek watershed is a partnership between the City of Broken Arrow and Broken Arrow public schools to teach students the importance of wetlands and floodplain management. The Ecology Park is on Albany Street, across from Broken Arrow High School. The Detention Pond is part of the Adams Creek watershed.

Students will learn about the ecology, biology, and chemistry of the detention pond by creating a floating wetlands, taking specimen inventories of the pond, and implementing creative new methods to create wildlife habitat for the pond while keeping it functional for flood control.
