On August 26, 2014, residents approved Proposition Number 6, which will allow the City to buy land across from the Bass Pro Shops and lease it to a developer, who will build a Conference/Convention Center.
The $5,855,000 bond issue will be used to purchase land. The City is negotiating with Stoney Creek Hospitality, which operates 14 lodge-themed hotels and conference centers in the Midwest, to build the Conference/Convention Center in Broken Arrow.
