If you are thinking of pursuing a career in the fire service after high school, or are just curious about becoming a firefighter then the Broken Arrow Fire Department’s Junior Fire Academy is for you.

We are currently accepting applications for the BAFD Junior Fire Academy. The next academy will be held at the Broken Arrow Fire & Police Training Center in Broken Arrow, July 20-23, 2026. The Academy will be filled on a first come first served basis. There is NO cost to participate in the Junior Fire Academy.

We will be accepting applications from incoming 9th to outgoing 12th grade students who meet the following requirements:

1. Fully complete the application form.
2. Return the completed application to the Broken Arrow Fire Department no later than July 3, 2026.

The Academy will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Cadets are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Academy. The Broken Arrow Fire Department’s Junior Fire Academy will not discriminate against any race, gender, religion or sexual orientation.
