American flag blowing in the wind

Communities across the country are celebrating the 250th birthday of America, and the City of Broken Arrow is joining in with special events, community activities, and patriotic celebrations leading up to July 4th. Residents are invited to take part in a variety of events that honor America's past, celebrate our community today, and leave something meaningful for future generations.

New Orleans Square Block Party Kickoff

The celebration begins with a community block party on June 26–27 at New Orleans Square featuring family-friendly activities, entertainment, and opportunities to celebrate America’s 250th birthday together. Both nights will be capped off with an amazing fireworks display!

Time Capsule Ceremony

City officials and staff will gather on June 30 to bury a 25-year time capsule at Veterans Park on Main Street. The capsule will preserve memories, milestones, and pieces of today’s history for future generations to discover. Check back in for more details.

Tuesdays in the Park on June 30

Join fellow Broken Arrowans for the fifth and final Tuesdays in the Park concert in Central Park for an amazing evening of festive music followed by 250 seconds of fireworks.

Veteran Banners in the Rose District

The banners honoring veterans that are displayed on the street light poles in the Rose District will proudly hang through July 4. These brave men and women are the reason we get to celebrate 250 years of independence and freedom. Take a stroll through downtown Broken Arrow to check out the banners.
