The Council approved a consulting agreement with Cross Timbers Consulting for bridge design plans along Broken Arrow Creek in Arrowwood Estates II, near 114th St. South and 23rd Street. This $107,600 agreement is part of the 2018 General Obligation Proposition 5-Storwater improvements.
The Council approved Resolution No. 1737, settling with Associated Pharmacies, JM Smith Corporation, Louisiana Wholesale Drug Company, Morris and Dickson Co., North Carolina Mutual Wholesale Drug Company, and United Natural Foods, Inc. The city sued these opioid manufacturers, who agreed to resolve the claims and pursue recovery for the city and its citizens for harm caused by opioid abuse.
Mayor Debra Wimpee issued a proclamation designating April 8, 2026, as Ernest Childers Day in recognition of his World War II heroics. As a result of his bravery, Childers was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, becoming the first Native American to receive this award.
Mayor Wimpee also proclaimed April 2026 as Safe Digging Month and urged all residents, contractors, businesses, municipalities, and utility professionals to practice safe excavation.
