Road work set to begin on east Florence Street Tuesday
Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through this area
Mill and overlay projects are set to begin in two separate areas of Broken Arrow.
Weather permitting, the City will close west Florence Street from Elm Street to Lynn Lane on Tuesday, August 4th and Wednesday, August 5th from approximately 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day for resurfacing work.
The City has contracted with A&A Asphalt to begin a two-inch asphalt surface mill of east Florence Street (E. 111th St. South) from south Elm Place (S. 161st E. Ave.) to South Lynn Lane St. (9th Street).
Once the milling phase is complete, the Streets Department will begin a 2-inch overlay of the mile section that is tentatively scheduled to begin Aug. 3.
Also, tentatively scheduled for the week of Aug. 3-7 is the mill and overlay of south Ash Ave. from west Houston Street to west Dallas Street.
Traffic control will be in place for both of these projects, and the City asks motorists to use caution when traveling through these areas during construction for the safety of motorists, City employees, and contractors.
