Water line breaks happen at the most inopportune times, such as during icy weather, overnight, or during the holidays. That’s why we are thankful for the City of Broken Arrow’s team of employees in the Utilities Department Water Division who answer that call whenever and wherever they are needed.
Joseph Ramirez, Bryan Fout, and Anthony Riccio are three such individuals who work for the City and have each been recognized by members of the community for excellence that they have demonstrated while on the job repairing water line breaks.
"I wanted to comment on one of your employees," Broken Arrow resident Robert Snow said in an email to the City. "I believe his name was Joseph, and he was working overnight weekends on an emergency shut-off for water leaks."Anthony Riccio and Bryan Fout. (Joseph Ramirez pictured above.)
The resident noticed the leak on Houston, between Elm and Main Streets. He called the non-emergency number for the Police, and Ramirez arrived on the scene within 20 minutes after the call.
"He was here and did an excellent job…I spoke with him, and he did his very best work for almost two hours straight out in the cold, digging in cement to try to figure out where the leak was coming from," Snow said. "I just wanted to say that he went way beyond what could have been where he just shut-off the valve. Employees like him working for the city make me feel like this is a true community. Thank you."
Another resident named Mike Fritts called the City to commend Utilities Department Water Division employees Fout and Riccio.
"You had a repair crew—Bryan and Tony to fix a water line break on Ithica this morning. I watched them a lot as I live across the street," he said. "They were very professional and very good. You should be proud of them, and I thought you have a good team there."
Employees like Ramirez, Fout, and Riccio make us proud to call Broken Arrow home. Kudos to each of the people in the department who serve our citizens well.
