The Oklahoma Municipal League is proud to announce Debra Wimpee, Broken Arrow Ward 1 City Councilmember, was accepted into the Oklahoma Municipal Leagues Community Leadership Development (CLD) Class 8. The first class session was hosted by the City of Muskogee on April 11-12.
This elite leadership program represents the next level of training for Certified Municipal Officials and also gives elected officials, municipal employees, and business leaders the opportunity to learn and grow as community leaders. The CLD program provides a unique hands-on training and educational opportunity for community leaders from across the state. The Muskogee class was the first of six sessions Wimpee will attend as part of this leadership program.
Cheryl A. Adams, OML, Program Manager runs the yearlong program. Karen Hill, President, Training Professionals, Inc. instructed session one, which is a two day training class. Karen’s training focused on leadership and communications, team building and strategic management.
The CLD Class 8 would not be possible without the generous support of community partners, including Phillips66, Oklahoma Natural Gas, and IBTS.
