Crime Prevention Specialist
Lisa Ford was hired by the Broken Arrow Police Department as their Crime Prevention Specialist in June 2001. Before coming to the Broken Arrow Police Department Lisa worked as Program Administrator for the Citizens Crime Commission overseeing the Alert Neighbor, Crime Stoppers and Arrest Arson Programs.

Lisa is certified by The American Crime Prevention Institute, Louisville Kentucky in Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) and is also a CLEET basic instructor. Lisa is a “Car Fit” nationally recognized instructor for the “Car Fit” program which is sponsored by AAA, AARP and National Occupational Therapist Association.

Lisa manages the Volunteers in Police Service program (VIPS) for the department with 85 volunteers currently participating. The Broken Arrow volunteer program has become a model for other police, fire and government agencies, in fact, she has instructed over 100 other Law Enforcement agencies on how to run a successful volunteer program through Oklahoma Regional Community Policing Institute (ORCPI).

Back to School Bash 2012Lisa’s duties include working with neighborhoods through the Alert Neighborhood program coordinating United Way Day of Caring for the City of Broken Arrow, organizes many community activities such as Night Out Against Crime with Fun and Games on Main held in October, Back to School Bash in August, Camp Bandage held in May, National Night Out and many other community functions.

She is also a board of director for Broken Arrow Seniors, Broken Arrow Neighbors, PC Power, Dogs Against Drugs, Tulsa Police Officers Memorial Trustee, Leadership Broken Arrow Leadership team and participates in many other organizations.
