Animal Control
The Broken Arrow Animal Shelter is located at 4121 E. Omaha in Broken Arrow – approximately 1 and ¼ mile east of County Line Road (193rd E. Ave.) on Omaha (51st Street). The Shelter is open to the public six days a week, Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is closed on Sundays and City holidays.

The Animal Shelter is operated under the control of the Broken Arrow Police Department. The Shelter staff consists of the Shelter Supervisor, one Administrative Technician, four Animal Control Officers and one Animal Shelter Officer.

The Animal Control Officers are charged with the responsibility of enforcing local animal ordinances, as well as city and state animal related laws.

Shelter hours are Monday-Saturday 9:00am-4:00pm

Animal Control is on City streets Thursday-Monday 8:00am-9:00pm and Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8:00am-6:00pm. In addition, one  Animal Control Officer is on-call to respond to after-hour calls (seriously injured animals requiring immediate medical attention, or animals that have been involved in a third-party bite situation only).
