The best crime and mystery novels are situated in “place.” As you will see from these varied plots, mystery and investigation stories find a ready home in Oklahoma and provide a window on the character of the state.
When: The first Thursday of February through June at 6:30 P.M.
A scholar from the region will come to the museum to lead the
discussion of each book.
Please read the book prior to the program.
During the series, we will read and discuss the following five books:

Each winter and spring the Tulsa office of the National Weather Service trains members of police & fire departments, emergency management officials, and amateur radio operators on spotting techniques. Typically, the training is coordinated by a local group (such as an emergency management agency) and an NWS meteorologist serves as the guest instructor. The goal of the training is not just to recognize tornadoes, but to have some understanding of storm structure, which in turn better prepares the spotter for the extreme and unusual circumstances. Other topics covered include an update on the latest NWS technology and procedures, ideas for organizing/coordinating spotter groups, and important safety consideration

This show exemplifies the range of talent that exists among our area artists.
Just viewing the exhibit is an excellent means of exploring applied techniques, mediums and tools artists use to create visually.

Jack O’Conner is scheduled to speak, Maggie Bond, Miss Oklahoma City University, will sing as well as our own docents. We will honor the Broken Arrow KIA soldiers and their families, the program is not complete as of today, so there will be more to follow.
The event is open to the public with no admission charge. We want as many Vietnam veterans as possible to attend. Bring your families and grandchildren and show your pride for the service you gave, and the sacrifices you made, for your country.

The M.e.t. will hold a special household pollutant collection event at its permanent facility in west Tulsa on March 24-25. Between 8 a.m.-2 p.m., residents can drop off common household pollutants for free.
Items accepted: Fluorescent and CFL lightbulbs, oil based paints and paint thinner, flammable liquids, lawn chemicals, automotive fluids, cooking oil/grease, aerosols, household and car batteries, household cleaners, pool chemicals, electronics, mercury thermometers. Plus for the special event -- tires, E-waste, medication and ammunition.
No radioactive material, asbestos, medical waste, latex paint or commercial or industrial items.
