This (above photo) was the first of three phases of a trail system along the Creek Turnpike South Loop Extension. This stretch starts at Garnett Road and about 96th Street, then runs south and east along the Turnpike (Liberty Parkway) to Aspen. The second and third phases take the trail system on east and then north to the NSU campus. There is unpaved parking available for users of the Trail at 96th and Garnett and 101st. The Villages of Birchwood also have a connection and access to the Trail. Paved parking lots are located at Garnett and 96th; 101st and the Trail and 145th and the Trail. The Trail will soon connect to Tulsa's trail system at 96th and Garnett.
