This organization was formed in 1976 to:

• assist members with family research
• to encourage the preservation of local history and
• to publish genealogical and historical information for the use of present and future generations.

The library receives no outside funding. Tax deductible financial contributions and donations of genealogical materials are greatly appreciated. 

The genealogy library has an extensive collection of Civil War resource materials, including the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies and Navy; the complete set of Confederate Veteran magazine with index; and The Complete Roster of Confederate Veterans.
