| Arrowhead Park Softball Action |
The City of Broken Arrow provides the playing fields and other facilities for most of the youth sports programs offered within the city. Youth baseball (16 fields) , Adult Softball (2 lighted fields) and Soccer (40 fields, 8 lighted) host games at the Indian Springs Sports Complex, located just south of 131st on 145th. The Nienhuis Football Stadium has four lighted youth football fields.
Girls Softball is held at both the Central Park fields (4 lighted fields), located on Main Street, behind the Family Aquatic Center and the state-of-the-art Arrowhead Park Softball Complex (8 lighted fields) on Washington (91st) just east of Main Street. Youth Basketball holds practices and games at the Central Park Community Center (3 gymnasiums) at 1500 S. Main, and the Nienhuis Park Gymnasium.
Youth Football, both tackle and flag, have a new place to call home in 2006 at Nienhuis Park (3201 No. 9th). Featured there are 4 tackle (lighted), and 4 flag football fields, as well as a large concessions stand.
Youth Baseball holds games at the Indian Springs Sports Complex, on the east side, where several diamonds are available for all age groups. National tournaments are also hosted there each summer by the Broken Arrow Youth Baseball Association.
Youth Soccer has one of the finest complexes in the area at Indian Springs Sports Complex. The program is run through the Broken Arrow Soccer Club.
Adult Softball leagues play at the Al Graham Softball Fields, just inside the gate on the west side of Aspen at the Indian Springs Sports Complex.
The City of Broken Arrow Parks and Recreation Department holds National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA) certification clinics year around. For more information concerning these clinics contain Clinician, Leslee Nitz at 286-6199.
