After many years in Tulsa, Scotfest will move to a new home in 2018 at Broken Arrow’s Events Park, 21101 E. 101st St., just east of the Northeastern State University and the Creek Turnpike. The 39th annual Celtic Music Festival & Highland Games begins at 5 p.m., Sept. 14, with the sounds of flame throwing bagpipes and guitars, drums and fiddles and the hurling of giant cabers, Highland dance and more for the whole family to enjoy.

U.S. Army veteran Bill Grisez is the scheduled speaker for the event. Mr. Grisez served with the 82nd Airborne and was a POW for two years in a German POW camp during WWII. His story of service and survival is an inspirational one.
The Military History Center will also dedicate a brickwalk to the Choctaw Code Talkers of WWI and have an official opening ceremony for the Native Americans in the Military exhibit currently on display. Speaking at the event is the great-granddaughter of Ben Carterby and the President of the Choctaw Code Talkers Association, Nuchi Nashoba.
The event is open to the public and is offered free of charge. The Military History Center would like to see as many veterans as possible in attendance. Everyone is encouraged to bring family and friends for this event honoring our Prisoners of War and those Missing In Action.

Batman is coming to Broken Arrow! September 22 is the 4th annual Batman Day. Come in costume and meet some of your favorite characters. There will be a great charity auction full of wonderful items for any superhero fan. There will be a bounce house for the kids and food for all. Admission is only $10 for adults and kids 12 and under are FREE! All proceeds benefit The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Broken Arrow.
