[DRAFT] Mandatory Water Rationing Order Effective Lifted

The City of Broken Arrow is instituting a mandatory water rationing effective immediately for all water customers in Broken Arrow.

Water customers are advised to restrict use of water to drinking and cooking purposes only. No outside watering is allowed.

Electrical issues with the high service pump at the water treatment facility has caused the pump to quit working. Electrical contractors and PSO are in route to the facility to assess the problem.

With only 3 smaller pumps currently providing water to customers, the city has limited ability to pump water into the city.

"We are advising our customers to ration their water until further notice," said Acting City Manager Russell Gale. "The three pumps we currently have pumping water into the city will only provide a fraction of what the high service pump provides. Any and all help our customers can give us until this situation is resolved is greatly appreciated."

Updates will be given as additional information is made available.
