The Broken Arrow Farmers Market, “ Market on Main” at 418 S Main Street, has a new operating schedule.
Due to a request by growers, the “Market on Main”, will now be open from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, beginning April 13th . Saturday’s open hours will be from 8:00 a.m. and extended until 1:00 p.m., beginning Saturday April 17th.
The reason for the change from Thursday to Tuesdays is that growers didn’t feel there was enough ripening time between Thursday's harvest for Thursday’s market and a Friday harvest for Saturday's market. This should provide a better yield of crops , given the extra days.
This year’s market will operate only during the specified hours stated. Vendors will no longer be able to sell until an opening announcement and must close at the closing announcement.
Entertainment on the market square will begin the first Tuesday in June. “Market on Main” is an Oklahoma Grown and Oklahoma Made market.
